Spelling Bee at BES

The students in 4th and 5th grade competed in a classroom spelling bee in the month of December. The top ten students from 4th and 5th grade were selected to compete in a 2nd round spelling bee in the month of January.  The top 5 students from each grade were selected to compete in a County Wide District Spelling Bee.  On February 5th,  the top 5 students from both 4th and 5th grade went to the middle to compete against the top 5 students from 6th, 7th, and 8th grade.  The 4th through 8th grade students were given a 100 word spelling bee. The overall 4th grade winner and overall BES winner was 4th grader Eli Soeffner and the 5th grade overall winner was Branden Hale.  Congratulations to all the students who competed.
