BES Teacher of the Year is....

Berrien Elementary School’s Teacher of the Year is Ms. Hope Giddens.  Hope Giddens is a 3rd grade teacher at BES.  She has taught in Berrien County for 18 years.  She taught kindergarten at BPS before moving to 3rd grade at BES.  She has earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education, a Masters of Education in Reading and Literacy, and a Specialist in Early Childhood Education. Throughout her career she has had the privilege of being a grade level lead teacher, a mentor teacher and has been on several school committees. She is currently the 3rd grade math team leader and serves on the BES STEAM committee and leadership team. Ms. Hope optimizes students’ success by fostering positive student relationships, as well as through providing students with collaborative hands-on learning experiences. She provides a safe, stimulating, and mentally challenging learning environment for her students daily.   

The BES faculty and staff are proud and honored to have Mrs. Hope represent BES in this year’s district TOTY ceremony. Hope is a well deserving teacher that is hard working and dedicated to her school and to her profession. Congratulations to Mrs. Hope on all of her accomplishments. BES wishes her the best of luck in this year’s ceremony.
