Choosing Healthy Activities and Methods Promoting Safety

3rd Grade

3rd grade-We start to learn how to read and write music using traditional musical notation. The students also learn how to play the xylophone, rhythm sticks, and bucket drums. We do activities that help students understand music and its role in the world. I also introduce them to the 5 periods of music and some composers from each era.
