4th Grade

4th grade- We continue to learn how to read and write music.  We also begin to write our own compositions.  The students begin to play recorders and they have the opportunity to participate in the Recorder Karate series.  We also experience music from different genres such as ragtime and blues.  I incorporate science and math concepts into my lessons so that students can understand that music is a part of everyday life.
